This was the key message of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the launch of ‘Skill India’, an initiative to give impetus to skill training and entrepreneurship. Today, almost half the Indian population constitutes women, and if there is a way forward for the country concerning economic development, it is by way of increasing the participation of women in the workforce.
